Huma Ansari, MD, FAPA
Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

Dr Ansari is the founder of Mind Matters Psychiatry LLC. She completed her psychiatry residency from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY (now Icahn School of Medicine) and participates in a variety of Continued Medical Education (CME activities) every year to keep her knowledge up-to-date. Dr Ansari has 10+ years of clinical experience to help guide you in the journey for your mental well being.

Evan Federici, DNP

Dr. Evan Federici is happy to join the team of Mind Matters Psychiatry! He is a recent graduate of the Rutgers University Psychiatric DNP program and a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Dr. Federici has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years and has experience providing excellent patient care to a variety of populations including children and adolescents, children with autism, trauma informed care, and those with substance use disorders. Dr. Federici will incorporate his years of clinical experience with his academic achievements to provide the most up-to-date evidence-based practice into your treatment plan.

Dr. Federici firmly believes in his patient’s ability to heal and will stand by his patients on their journey to recovery.

Tomeka Mapp, APN

Tomeka Mapp is a dedicated and compassionate mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with a strong commitment to improving the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues. With extensive clinical experience and a deep understanding of psychiatric disorders, Mrs. Mapp provides comprehensive care to her patients empowering them to achieve optimal mental well-being.

Mrs. Mapp completed her Bachelor of Science nursing (BSN) at Felician University in Lodi NJ, where she developed a solid foundation in nursing principle and patient care. She then pursued her Master of Science in psychiatry and mental health nursing. In addition, Mrs. Mapp obtained national certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). This certification reflects her advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in assessing, diagnosing and treating various mental health disorders across the lifespan.

Melissa McCalister, APN

Meet Melissa McCalister, a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Ms. McCalister strongly believes in providing comprehensive and patient-centered care to individuals with mental health needs. She is a proud graduate of UMDNJ-Rutgers University in Newark, NJ, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and Kean University in Union, NJ, where she completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). She then went to Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre,

PA to receive her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner board certification. Ms. McCalister’s philosophy is to empower and support patients in their journey toward optimal mental well-being.
She has expertise in treating the full range of psychiatric conditions and is devoted to developing treatment plans in collaboration with her patients.
Ms. McCalister is an inspiration to those seeking mental health support.

Renay Opokuh, APN

Renay Opokuh is an accomplished and dedicated professional in the field of psychiatric-mental health nursing with several years of experience caring for clients with mental health issues along the life continuum.

Her Completion of both Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on psychiatric nursing at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) is a testament to her strong educational foundation in both general and specialized nursing practices.

Renay has experience providing intensive care treatments for mental health and provision of care for persons with acute care mental health needs and dual diagnoses.

Renay’s goal as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is to work with the client to help them achieve their optimal mental wellbeing. She is constantly improving her skills by keeping her knowledge, related to managing your mental health needs, up-to-date.
