Mind Matters Psychiatry offers comprehensive psychiatric services for adults and adolescents (ages 14 and older).
Care is available through both in-person and secure telehealth appointments, depending on clinical appropriateness.
Our goal is to provide individualized, evidence-based treatment in a respectful and supportive environment.
The initial adult psychiatric assessment is a 45–60 minute comprehensive evaluation designed to understand your mental health concerns, medical history, and treatment goals.
This assessment includes:
Review of presenting concerns and symptoms
Psychiatric and medical history
Medication history
Diagnostic assessment
Development of an initial treatment plan
Additional lab work or records may be requested as part of the evaluation.
If follow-up care is recommended and you choose to continue treatment, follow-up appointments are typically scheduled within 15–30 days.
The adolescent psychiatric assessment is a 45–90 minute comprehensive evaluation, conducted with the patient and their parent(s) or guardian(s).
This assessment includes:
Age-appropriate psychiatric evaluation
Review of developmental, educational, and family history
Diagnostic assessment
Discussion of treatment options and care planning
When clinically appropriate, additional information or records may be requested. Follow-up visits are usually scheduled within 15–30 days for ongoing care.
Neuropsychiatric Testing
We offer neuropsychiatric testing for ADHD using an evidence-based testing platform.
This service may help:

Support individualized treatment planning
Besides being available to practice patients, Neuropsychiatric testing is also available to non-practice patients on a private-pay basis, meaning those who do not wish to become a patient at our practice but would still like to take the test and discuss the results with their own provider(s).
Medication Management
Medication management appointments focus on the safe and effective use of psychiatric medications as part of an individualized treatment plan.
Follow-up appointment durations include:
10–15 minutes for medication management only
20–30 minutes for medication management with brief counseling
Adolescent follow-up visits may range from 20–40 minutes, depending on clinical needs
Medication decisions are made collaboratively, with ongoing monitoring to ensure effectiveness and tolerability.
Telehealth Services
Telehealth appointments are available for appropriate services and allow patients to receive care remotely using a secure platform.

Telehealth sessions depend on reliable internet access on both ends
Poor connectivity may affect session quality or require rescheduling
For privacy and confidentiality, patients are encouraged to attend telehealth sessions from a private, quiet location
Some services may require in-person visits based on clinical judgment and regulatory requirements.
